How Point Buy Works
- Starting Points: You begin with 27 points to spend on ability scores
- Base Scores: All abilities start at 8, the minimum allowed
- Maximum Score: No ability can exceed 15 before racial bonuses
- Point Costs: Scores 8-13 cost 1 point each; 14 costs 2 points; 15 costs 2 points
- Modifiers: Your ability modifier is (score - 10) / 2, rounded down
